Nicole Cadieux
Patient partner
Nicole Cadieux is a retired educator with a background in biochemistry and education. She has dedicated her career to the development of French-language learning in Ontario. Through her leadership and collaboration with various networks, she has helped advance distance learning and educational innovation in the Francophone education community.
Nicole is a mother and grandmother and has been a caregiver for a family member with major health issues. Over the years, as a patient, she has also used various healthcare services and treatments. These experiences have allowed her to see both the strengths and challenges of our healthcare system.
As she was looking for a meaningful volunteering opportunity, she chose to put her experience and voice to work for the PCFAC. She wants to contribute to the continuous improvement of healthcare and relationships between patients, families, and professionals. Nicole appreciates the welcoming spirit of the group and the educational aspect of the committee, which allows her to enrich her knowledge while sharing her experience with the other members.
Nicole believes that accessibility to information is essential. This information must be simple and understandable so that each patient can navigate the healthcare system more easily in a way that is focused on their needs and circumstances.
